The outside weld bead and residual heat are the two biggest threats to tube quality right after welding. A rough bead marks downstream rolls and ruins surface finish, while heat that is not removed fast enough warps the body and spoils roundness.
Without deburring, the raised outside bead scores the sizing rolls and transfers marks to every tube. Slow or uneven cooling lets residual heat distort the thin wall, so the body arrives at sizing already out-of-round and hard to correct.
An automatic outside-burr removal unit with pneumatic rapid in/out feed clears the weld bead, protecting rolls and delivering a clean surface.
Spray plus overflow-pool cooling with adjustable metal nozzles delivers ≥10 t/h coolant flow, removing weld heat fast for stable roundness.
The cooled, deburred tube then enters 6+6 sizing and Turk head straightening with a smooth, round body ready for finishing.

Every ZY20 runs one continuous flow from coil to finished cut tube. An uncoiler feeds strip through a 7-roll precision leveler that removes coil-set, then double-radius forming shapes it in 5 rough and 3 finish stands without edge wave. A 100 kW solid-state HF welder fuses the seam under squeeze pressure with a dedicated seam guide, and an automatic outside-burr unit clears the bead immediately. ≥10 t/h spray plus overflow-pool cooling locks the shape, the 6-horizontal + 6-vertical sizing train sets the diameter, and a 4-roll Turk head straightens the tube before the microcomputer flying saw cuts 4–8m lengths to ±3mm. Overload-protected stands and 42CrMo hardened shafts keep the whole line stable over long runs.
