Buyers order fixed lengths and reject short or long pieces, so the flying saw must cut accurately while the line runs. Saw systems that lose sync with line speed produce off-length tube, and slow reset after each cut caps throughput.
A saw that does not track line speed cuts while the tube keeps moving, so length varies with speed changes. Slow reset between cuts also forces the line to pause, and mechanical backlash accumulates error over a full production shift.
A microcomputer-controlled flying saw tracks line speed and synchronizes each cut, holding fixed lengths of 4-8m to ±3mm.
Rapid reset returns the saw to the start position quickly, so the line runs continuously at up to 90 m/min without waiting on the saw.
The Turk head straightens the tube and feeds it accurately into the saw, further improving cut-length consistency.

Every ZY20 runs one continuous flow from coil to finished cut tube. An uncoiler feeds strip through a 7-roll precision leveler that removes coil-set, then double-radius forming shapes it in 5 rough and 3 finish stands without edge wave. A 100 kW solid-state HF welder fuses the seam under squeeze pressure with a dedicated seam guide, and an automatic outside-burr unit clears the bead immediately. ≥10 t/h spray plus overflow-pool cooling locks the shape, the 6-horizontal + 6-vertical sizing train sets the diameter, and a 4-roll Turk head straightens the tube before the microcomputer flying saw cuts 4–8m lengths to ±3mm. Overload-protected stands and 42CrMo hardened shafts keep the whole line stable over long runs.
