Corrosion-resistant And Ultra-wear-resistant Precision Carbide Forming Shaft
When equipment faces the challenges of wear, corrosion and high loads under extreme working conditions, cemented carbide formed shafts, with their high hardness, excellent wear resistance, and good strength and toughness, become the preferred alternative to traditional steel shafts. They can maintain stable performance at high temperatures of 500°C and still have high hardness at 1000°C, capable of high-speed rotation, high pressure, high temperature and corrosive environments, significantly improving equipment life and operational stability.
1. Why Choose Carbide Shafts?
Carbide shafts are made from a powder metallurgy process using a refractory metal hard compound and a binder metal. They combine several excellent properties:
Ultra-High Hardness and Wear Resistance: Hardness typically ranges from HRA 85.5 and above, with high grades reaching HRA 94. This offers wear resistance far exceeding that of traditional steel shafts, allowing them to withstand long-term friction and wear.
Excellent Thermal Stability: Performance remains essentially unchanged even at 500°C, and high hardness is maintained at 1000°C, ensuring stable operation under high-temperature conditions.
High Strength and Toughness: High compressive and flexural strength (high grades offer flexural strengths of ≥4500 MPa) allows them to withstand high loads and impacts.
Excellent Corrosion Resistance: Suitable for use in harsh environments such as oil pumps and compressors.

Industrial Manufacturing and Automation: Suitable for high-speed spindles in machine tools, grinders, and other equipment, as well as precision rollers for rotating narrow strips, plates, and circuit boards.
Resource Exploration and Mining: Used as bearings, ball teeth, and drill bits in drilling equipment (such as percussion drill bits and roller cone drill bits), they withstand the high impact and wear of rock drilling.
Fluid Machinery and Sealing: Widely used in shaft supports and sealing sleeves in equipment such as oil pumps and compressors, providing excellent sealing and service life.
Specialty Working Components: Suitable for shaft sleeves operating under high pressure and high temperature conditions, as well as mechanical sealing connection components requiring high precision and high wear resistance.
