The waist-high aluminum swing barrier gate is an advanced automatic pedestrian access control system equipped with RFID card and fingerprint reader capabilities. Part of the innovative swing turnstile series, it is widely utilized in locations such as metro stations, schools, offices, scenic areas, gyms, factories, residential complexes, and supermarkets. The system supports multiple verification modes, including RFID, fingerprint, and facial recognition. Enhanced with features like infrared detectors and temperature controllers, it is adaptable to various environments. Additionally, the swing turnstile series can be equipped with crash-proof functionality, integrating an angle coder and clutch mechanism to safeguard the gate in case of impact by pedestrians or bicycles. These gates are commonly implemented in applications such as stadiums, arenas, perimeter and interior security, recreational and amusement parks, retail crowd management, and transit fare collection systems.

Safety

The Speed Gate is equipped with multiple safety features and is among the limited number of turnstiles that carry the CE mark. Furthermore, it includes a dedicated emergency input designed for fire and life safety purposes. When the emergency input is activated, such as through a fire alarm system, the barrier panels automatically swing open in the exit direction and stay open until manually reset, enabling unrestricted egress. Additionally, in the event of a power outage, the barrier panels can be easily moved with minimal effort.

Installation and Commissioning

The Proud products are designed to eliminate the need for extensive adjustments, such as fine-tuning the home and end positions of each turnstile. They are nearly flawless right out of the box. Proud prioritizes simplicity for installers, reducing deployment time and preventing unnecessary complications in the future. While the Speed Gate’s default operation settings suit most applications, any required adjustments can be easily made using the provided tools.

Embedded IP-based Communication

All Speed Gates come equipped with integrated IP-based communication and configuration capabilities, allowing core turnstile settings to be adjusted through a local or remote TCP/IP network connection.

Integration with Access Control and Visitor Management Systems

The Speed Gate seamlessly integrates with almost any access control system. Each side of the turnstile is designed to accommodate the interior installation of a mullion-sized proximity reader under the lid at both ends. This makes the Speed Gate an excellent addition to existing visitor management systems. Unlike competitor products that require bulky, surface-mounted omni-directional readers, Proud offers the innovative option of interior mounting a barcode image within the cabinet’s end for a sleeker and more streamlined solution.

Options & Customizations

The Speed Gate offers a wide range of customization options. These include designs on the barrier side panels, static or dynamic illumination for the side panels, multiple barrier height choices, and the integration of a barcode reader, among other features.

Control and Monitoring Software

Control and Monitoring Software is a desktop application designed for installation at a guard or attendant desk, enabling centralized oversight and management of Speed Gates from a single computer. Featuring a user-friendly graphical interface, it provides attendants with real-time status updates for all turnstiles, along with instant alerts for any alarm conditions. Additionally, the software offers functionality to create scheduling templates, allowing automatic adjustments to turnstile modes based on predefined schedules.
