Background of the development of optical fiber communication technology: Optical fiber communication uses light waves as the carrier and optical fibers as the transmission medium, featuring large communication capacity, long relay distance, and good confidentiality performance. With the advancement of technology, the loss of optical fibers has continuously decreased, and their transmission performance has continuously improved, making long-distance optical fiber communication possible. From the initial short-distance optical fiber communication systems to the current systems with relay distances exceeding 100 kilometers, the demand for different lengths of optical fibers has become increasingly diverse, prompting the emergence of different length specifications of optical fiber tubes to meet the wiring and construction requirements for various long-distance communication scenarios.
Background of drone application requirements: Drones are widely used in military and civilian fields. Traditional drones rely on wireless signals for data transmission and control. In complex electromagnetic environments, the signals are prone to interference and the transmission distance is limited. To address these issues, optical fiber tubes have been applied in the drone field. After the drone carries the optical fiber tube and takes off, it releases the optical fiber to establish a communication link with the ground. The optical signal is transmitted within the fiber, which is basically not affected by external electromagnetic signals and can ensure stable data transmission. According to different drone operation requirements and scenarios, different lengths of optical fiber tubes are needed. For example, in some short-distance urban pipeline inspection scenarios, a 3-kilometer or 5-kilometer optical fiber tube may be sufficient to meet the requirements.
