The CPU cooling plate is a core component for CPU heat dissipation. It is mostly made of high thermal conductivity copper or lightweight aluminum, which can quickly dissipate heat. Combined with microchannel and other designs to enhance heat exchange, it is compatible with liquid cooling systems to ensure the stable operation of the CPU at low temperatures.
CPU cooling boards are applied in high-performance desktops (DIY hosts), servers and data centers, notebook computers (high-performance models), industrial control computers and special equipment.
The CPU cooling plate achieves efficient thermal management through heat-conducting media and forced convection. Firstly, the heat generated by the CPU is transferred to the surface of the cooling plate through thermal interface materials such as silicone grease. Then, the heat rapidly diffuses within the metal materials inside the cooling plate. Finally, the heat is carried away by the coolant flowing through the internal channels of the cooling plate, such as water or ethylene glycol solution, achieving heat dissipation.
CPU cooling plates usually need to be used in conjunction with other heat dissipation components such as fans and heat sinks. For instance, in a liquid cooling system, the cooling plate, together with the water pump, water tank, cooling fan, etc., forms a complete circulation system. After absorbing heat in the cooling plate, the coolant is transported to the radiator by the water pump, and then the heat is dissipated into the air by the fan.
