A CPU cooler is a device used to dissipate heat from a computer's CPU and plays a decisive role in the stable operation of the CPU.
Function: When the CPU is working, it generates a large amount of heat. If it is not dissipated in time, it may cause the system to freeze at best, and at worst, it may burn out the CPU. Classification and principle: There are mainly three types: air cooling, heat pipe cooling and water cooling. Air-cooled heat sinks are the most common type, consisting of a cooling fan and a heat sink. They transfer the heat from the CPU to the heat sink and then carry it away by the fan. Heat pipe radiators transfer heat through the evaporation and condensation of liquid in fully enclosed vacuum tubes. Most of them are of the "air-cooled + heat pipe" type, combining the advantages of both air-cooling and heat pipes. Water-cooled heat sinks use liquid to be forced to circulate under the drive of a pump to remove heat. They have the advantages of being quiet, stable in cooling, and less dependent on the environment.
Important parameters: including fan power, rotational speed, noise, exhaust volume and heat sink material, etc. Generally speaking, the greater the power and the higher the rotational speed of a fan, the better the heat dissipation effect. However, it may also bring higher noise and faster wear and tear. In terms of heat sink materials, aluminum alloy is widely used due to its low price and good heat dissipation effect. Medium and high-end heat sinks will use copper media with better heat dissipation effect at the contact points with the CPU heat dissipation core.
