Description: 


Ultrasonic precision spraying of proton exchange membrane catalysts for electrolytic cells is an efficient coating technology used to optimize the performance of electrolytic reactions. Usually, we use precious metals such as platinum and iridium or their alloys as catalyst materials, prepare the required solution through a certain ratio, and use an ultrasonic spraying machine to adjust the spraying parameters, such as spraying speed, liquid flow rate, ultrasonic frequency, etc., to ensure that the solution is atomized into small droplets and evenly coated on the membrane surface. Ultrasonic spraying can effectively improve the utilization rate of catalysts and the conductivity of membranes, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of electrolytic cells.

Accurate Control of the Thickness of Catalyst Coating Methods : 


1. Adjust the spraying parameters

a. Spray speed: Slowing down the spray speed can increase the coating thickness, otherwise it will decrease.

b. Liquid flow rate: Increasing the liquid flow rate can increase the amount of coating sprayed each time, thereby increasing the thickness.

c. Ultrasonic frequency: Adjusting the ultrasonic frequency can affect the size of the droplets, thereby affecting the uniformity and thickness of the coating.

2. Multiple spraying

a. Layered coating: Through multiple spraying, each layer of coating has a relatively thin thickness, but when combined, it can achieve the desired total thickness. This helps to control the thickness of each layer.

3. Use measuring tools

a. Thickness gauge: Use a laser thickness gauge or coating thickness gauge to monitor the coating thickness in real time and adjust the spraying parameters in a timely manner.

b. Microscopic examination: After the coating is completed, the coating is inspected using tools such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to ensure that the design thickness is achieved.

4. Control the viscosity of the coating

a. Viscosity adjustment: Control the viscosity of the coating by adding diluents or thickeners to achieve the desired coating thickness.

5. Surface pretreatment

a. Surface roughness: By adjusting the surface treatment method of the substrate (such as sandblasting, acid washing, etc.), it can affect the adhesion and thickness of the coating.
