Hot Riveting Plastic Welding Process

Hot riveting is a welding method that selectively heats thermoplastic rivet posts passing through preset holes of the component to be joined. After the rivet post melts, pressure is applied to form the rivet head, and the joint is kept clamped until the molten material cools and solidifies. This creates a secure mechanical bond between the thermoplastic and the mating component.

The system integrates servo-controlled hot riveting, precision thermal control, and automated positioning, making it suitable for a wide range of automotive trim components across different vehicle platforms.

This machine is equipped with two sets of molds, each designed for a different product.
Each mold contains two cavities (left & right parts), significantly improving productivity.
It provides stable, efficient, and defect-free hot riveting performance.
