The design of the welding horn is the most critical and important factor affecting ultrasonic welding. The engineer should carefully consider and evaluate the parts when they are in the design stage. There are many kinds of welding horn designs, all have their own characteristics and advantages. The choice of design depends on the type of plastic, part geometry, welding requirements, injection capacity, and appearance requirements.
Ultrasonic horns are designed with an FEA (Finite Element Analysis) simulation program that allows our engineers to observe the vibratory action of the horn prior to fabrication. We build segmented and adjustable fixtures to ensure a secure fit with the molded parts. For added strength and durability, carbide facing or chrome plating is applied, and before getting out of storage, we will test the even amplitude of the horns one by one.

Process of The Tooling:
1. Trimming: straight edge cutting and melting edge treatment, without rough edges, ensure the smoothness;
2. Sealing: ensure good welding strength;
3. Hole make: cut out the hole and conduct side melting treatment;
4. Slitting: cutting the material once or multiple times, melting on the side, without burrs;
5. Forming: simultaneous cutting, sealing and embossing can be produced at one time.
