What is an Idler?
The CHT idler integrates advanced design and precision manufacturing to deliver unmatched durability and safety. Its keyed joint between idler and axle expands the bearing surface and enhances torque transmission, aligning the idler's service life with other undercarriage components while eliminating uneven wear. The axle's rotation within fixed bearings significantly reduces friction and wear, extending the track system's longevity.
Crafted via either alkali phenolic resin sand casting or sodium silicate-bonded sand casting, it undergoes specialized heat treatment to achieve a minimum surface hardness of HRC48-58 and a 4-6mm hardened layer (HRC45), providing exceptional impact and wear resistance. Final precision refinement on a CK5110 large-scale CNC vertical lathe ensures impeccable dimensional accuracy and superior surface finishes.
