What is an Idler?

Its innovative keyed joint between idler and axle expands the bearing contact area, enhances torque transmission, and synchronizes the idler's lifespan with other undercarriage components to prevent uneven wear. The axle's rotation within fixed bearings significantly reduces friction, extending the entire track system's service life.
Manufactured using premium processes including alkali phenolic resin sand casting or sodium silicate-bonded sand casting, this idler features robust construction and perfect dimensional stability. After specialized heat treatment, it achieves HRC 48-58 surface hardness with a 4-6mm hardened layer (HRC 45), providing outstanding impact and wear resistance for the most demanding mining and construction applications.
