Material Comparison: FKM vs. NBR vs. HNBR
NBR (Nitrile): This is the standard material for low-temperature, non-corrosive oil and water applications. While cost-effective, it fails quickly in high-temperature or sour gas environments and lacks the chemical resilience of FKM.
HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile): Offers better heat resistance and mechanical strength than NBR. It is suitable for H2S service up to 160C and provides excellent abrasion resistance. However, it cannot match the chemical and extreme heat resistance (up to 200C) of FKM.
