Pre Galvanized GI Strut Channel - 41 x 41 mm and 41 x 21 mm

Pre galvanized channel is formed from Z275 zinc coated steel coil, so the zinc layer is applied to the strip before roll forming instead of after. The result is a smooth, bright, uniform surface with no bath marks, and a profile that stays flat and straight because the coil is already coated. Standard wall is 1.5 mm light duty and 2.0 mm medium duty, in the two most requested profiles: 41 x 41 mm and 41 x 21 mm.

Pre galvanized is the right choice for indoor and covered work - ceiling voids, plant rooms, data halls and prefabricated frames - where the finish stays dry, the surface matters visually, and the budget does not need the full 65-85 um hot dip layer. Where the steel sees rain, coastal air or washdown, we recommend hot dip galvanized channel instead.

The plant runs 16 roll forming production lines with matched slitting, punching, straightening and packing equipment in one location. Practically this means several profiles and wall thicknesses are produced at the same time, mixed orders of 41 x 41 mm and 41 x 21 mm do not wait for a line reset, and standard sizes are held in stock rather than made to order. Because every process sits on one site, there is no subcontractor queue between forming and dispatch - the usual reason export dates slip.

Bundles are sized to the container width so a forklift can lift them straight out without unstrapping the load.

Service and FAQ

Q: Can pre galvanized channel be used outdoors? For short term or sheltered outdoor use yes, but for permanent outdoor, coastal or washdown service we recommend hot dip galvanized channel with 65-85 um zinc.

Q: What about the cut edges? Cutting exposes bare steel on the cut face. For indoor work this is normally acceptable; for damp areas touch up with a zinc rich paint, which takes a few seconds per cut.

Q: Can you supply painted channel? Yes, powder coating and liquid paint are available on pre galvanized substrate, which bonds better than on bare steel.

Q: What is the MOQ for mixed profiles? Mixed 41 x 41 mm and 41 x 21 mm orders are accepted from 500 pieces total, with separate bundle marking.
