Product Overview
The V8 Eco Series represents Midea's commitment to sustainable HVAC solutions, delivering industry-leading efficiency without compromising performance or comfort. Designed for environmentally conscious businesses and green building projects, this series incorporates advanced energy-saving technologies that reduce carbon footprint while maintaining reliable VRF performance. With some of the highest efficiency ratings in the industry, the V8 Eco is ideal for LEED, BREEAM, and other green building certification targets.
"As the Facilities Director for Scandinavia's greenest office park, our mandate was to achieve BREEAM Outstanding certification," explains Oslo-based sustainability manager Lars Svensson. "The V8 Eco's industry-leading IPLV of 9.8, combined with its low-GWP refrigerant options and intelligent energy management features, contributed 23% towards our overall green building score. In the first year of operation, we measured a 47% reduction in HVAC-related energy consumption compared to the building we replaced. The V8 Eco didn't just meet our sustainability targets—it exceeded them."

The V8 Eco achieves an IPLV of up to 9.8, ranking among the highest in the VRF industry. This exceptional efficiency is made possible through advanced technologies including innovative 2-in-1 evaporator circuit design, secondary subcooling technology ensuring 20 degrees of subcooling, and the all-new G-type integrated four-sided heat exchanger that maximizes heat transfer surface area.
Intelligent Load Distribution Technology
Optimizes module operation based on real-time load requirements. When total load exceeds 75% of current operating capacity, additional modules activate. When load drops below 40%, modules intelligently deactivate, ensuring each operates within its most efficient range (40-75%) where energy consumption is minimized.
Smart Energy Management Features
Includes comprehensive energy management with automatic eco-mode, 7-level peak demand limiting, automatic defrost optimization, and intelligent refrigerant distribution that eliminates the need for refrigerant storage tanks.
Enhanced Corrosion Protection
Standard anti-corrosion treatment on all external metal parts and heat exchangers ensures long equipment life. Enhanced anti-corrosion treatment option available for extreme conditions, with IP55-rated electrical enclosure providing robust protection against dust and water ingress.
