This instrument is primarily utilized for measuring the heat deflection temperature and Vicat softening point temperature of non-metallic materials including plastics, rubber, nylon and other electrical insulating materials.
Heat Deflection Temperature Test: Determines the temperature at which a specified deformation value appears on a standard test specimen when subjected to bending stress according to international standards. This test is significant for quality control management and material research of plastic products.
Vicat Softening Point Temperature Test: Measures the temperature at which a standard indenter penetrates 1mm into the surface of a test specimen under a specified load. Used to identify and compare differences in softening performance among various thermoplastic materials.
