The XNR-400E Melt Flow Indexer is a high-temperature melt flow tester engineered for precise MFR and MVR measurement of polycarbonate, fluoroplastics, nylon, and low-melting-point polymers. Built to GB/T3682-2018 and ASTM D1238-98 standards, it delivers stable, repeatable results for plastic manufacturing, petrochemical, academic, and third-party inspection applications.
The XNR-400E Melt Flow Rheometer is designed and manufactured in compliance with GB/T3682-2018 and ASTM D1238-98, with reference to JB/T5456 and ISO1133 equivalent specifications.
It is used to quantify the melt mass flow rate (MFR) and melt volume flow rate (MVR) of thermoplastic materials. MFR measurement is achieved through automatic sample collection and gravimetric weighing.
For MVR testing, the unit adopts an optical encoder paired with an auto-timing module. It captures the piston travel time over a predefined stroke and then computes the volumetric flow rate using the corresponding calculation formulas. Results for both metrics are displayed on the equipment touch panel, printable via the on-board microprinter, and available for PC communication.
Featuring high precision, straightforward operation, clear readout, and stable performance, this apparatus supports testing for high-temperature resins including polycarbonate (PC), fluoroplastics, and nylon, as well as low-melting-point polymers such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyoxymethylene (POM), polystyrene (PS), and ABS resin. It serves plastic manufacturing, finished plastic goods, petrochemical sectors, alongside academic institutions, research laboratories, and third-party inspection bodies.
The XNR-400E melt flow tester adopts microcomputer control, enabling manual or automatic sample cutting for dual-mode MFR and MVR measurement.
