Product Overview
This customizable roll coater is a continuous coating system that applies precise layers of paints, adhesives, functional coatings, or hot melts onto flat or flexible substrates. Available in industrial wide-format, laboratory roll-to-roll, and hot melt configurations.
The system is fully customizable in coating width, roller configuration (2-roll / 3-roll / reverse roll), drying modules, and automation level. The roller coating method is suitable for large-area sheet and strip coating, offering high efficiency and ease of achieving continuous production.
Working principle: The coating is picked up by the applicator roll from the pan and transferred to the substrate. In reverse roll coating, the applicator roll rotates opposite to the substrate direction, providing better shear control and enabling ultra-thin, uniform coatings (down to 1-2 µm). This method is widely used for architectural paint on coil metal, thermal coatings, adhesives, and specialty optical applications.
