The SUPT MOTION MLCA-0040-135-00 is a U-shaped linear motor armature designed to be compatible with the MLFA series stator (magnetic rail). It features a peak thrust of 120 N, a continuous thrust of 40 N, a pole pitch of 30 mm, and an armature weight of 0.42 kg. When used in conjunction with a linear encoder, it enables high-precision position control.
Linear motors offer significant advantages, including high acceleration, smooth thrust characteristics, modular design, freely extendable stroke, quiet operation, and maintenance-free performance.
The U-shaped linear motor employs a core-less design, eliminating magnetic attraction and cogging effects to achieve smooth motion with zero backlash. The stator magnetic rails can be connected indefinitely, making the stroke theoretically unlimited; this makes it particularly suitable for applications requiring long-stroke, high-speed positioning. Compared to lead screw drives, linear motors do not require intermediate conversion mechanisms, simplifying the system structure and improving dynamic response bandwidth.
