The parking air conditioner is a type of in-vehicle air regulator designed to provide continuous cooling (or heating, though primarily cooling due to limitations) using the vehicle's onboard battery DC power supply (12V/24V/36V) during parking and rest periods. It regulates and controls the temperature, humidity, and flow rate of the air inside the vehicle, fully meeting the comfort cooling needs of truck drivers.
Due to the limited capacity of onboard batteries and the suboptimal heating experience during winter, parking air conditioners are predominantly single-cooling types. They generally consist of a refrigerant delivery system, a cooling source unit, terminal devices, and other auxiliary systems. Key components include a condenser, evaporator, electronic control system, compressor, fan, and ductwork. The terminal devices utilize the delivered cooling capacity to specifically condition the air inside the vehicle cabin, providing truck drivers with a comfortable resting environment.
Parking air conditioners can operate using the vehicle's battery while the vehicle is parked, without relying on the engine for power. This significantly reduces idle wear and tear on vehicle components, lowers fuel consumption, and minimizes environmental pollution. In terms of cooling performance, parking air conditioners typically have slightly lower cooling capacity compared to the vehicle's original air conditioning system. However, their optimized air ducts enable rapid temperature reduction inside the vehicle within a short period. Regarding endurance, parking air conditioners consume less energy, allowing for longer-lasting operation.
