Installation Orientation:
Some high‑power WAVEGUIDE LOAD must be mounted with the fins vertical to optimize convection. Always follow the datasheet of that specific WAVEGUIDE LOAD.
Verification:
After installation, use a network analyzer to confirm that the WAVEGUIDE LOAD presents a return loss better than 30 dB (VSWR < 1.065).
Protection of Sensitive Components:During transmitter testing or amplifier tuning, a WAVEGUIDE LOAD acts as a dummy antenna. Without a WAVEGUIDE LOAD, reflected power could destroy expensive devices such as magnetrons or solid‑state amplifiers.
