2kWh Off Grid Energy Storage System with 550W Solar and 1000W AC Charging

This 2kWh off-grid energy storage system combines a 2000Wh LiFePO4 battery, 1000W pure sine wave inverter, 550W solar charging input and 1000W AC charging capability. It is designed for selected loads at cabins, remote offices, temporary work locations and communication sites.

Define the Off-Grid Operating Day

A reliable off-grid plan starts with a full 24-hour load schedule. Record when each device operates, how much power it uses and whether it must remain available during poor weather or generator downtime.

The 2000Wh rating is nominal battery energy. The amount delivered to AC loads is affected by inverter efficiency, station consumption, temperature and the reserve maintained for critical equipment.

Base Load

Include routers, security systems, lighting and communication devices that run for long periods.

Scheduled Work Load

Laptops, monitors and selected equipment can be assigned to periods when solar charging is strongest.

Restricted Load

High-consumption appliances should be limited when preserving energy for essential operation is more important.

Designing the 550W Solar Charging Side

The PV input supports 12–60V and up to 550W. Solar-array voltage must remain within this range at both normal operating voltage and maximum open-circuit voltage.

The required solar capacity depends on how much energy is used each day and the number of effective sunlight hours. Weather losses, panel temperature, shading and conversion efficiency should be included.

When daily energy use approaches the battery capacity, the solar source must provide enough surplus energy to operate daytime loads and recharge the battery.

Using AC Charging for Faster Recovery

The station supports up to 1000W AC charging from a compatible 85–135Vac, 60Hz source. This can reduce recovery time when solar conditions are poor or when the system must be prepared quickly for the next operating period.

When a generator is used, its voltage, frequency and available continuous power must remain stable enough for the charging input. Other generator loads should be included in the capacity calculation.

1000W Output and Off-Grid Load Scheduling

The pure sine wave inverter supplies a rated 1000W AC output at 110Vac and 60Hz. This supports a wider range of compatible loads than lower-output stations, but combined equipment must remain within the rating.

No separate surge-output value is listed in the source specification. Pumps, compressors and motor-driven equipment should therefore be reviewed before inclusion in the off-grid load plan.

USB and PD 20W Type-C ports provide direct charging for compatible electronics and may reduce the need to operate AC adapters.

System Boundaries and Placement

This unit integrates the battery, inverter and charging functions. Solar panels, generator, external extension wiring and site-specific protection are separate items.

The station weighs 18.5kg net and can be relocated when required, but it should be placed on a stable surface with protected airflow and cable access.
