51.2V 200Ah Stackable Home Battery with Optional CAN RS485 for Hybrid Inverters

A Residential Battery Bank Selected Around Inverter Compatibility

This 51.2V 200Ah stackable home battery is designed for residential energy storage projects using compatible hybrid or off-grid inverters. Its two-module configuration provides 10.24kWh of nominal LiFePO4 battery energy.

The battery bank should not be selected from capacity alone. Installers must confirm the inverter’s battery-voltage range, charging profile, maximum DC current, communication protocol and protection requirements before approving the system configuration.

Optional CAN and RS485 interfaces can support communication with selected inverter systems. An LCD provides local access to supported battery information, while successful inverter communication depends on the exact protocol, firmware and cable definition.

Compatibility Checks for Hybrid Inverter Projects

Confirm the DC Voltage Window

The inverter must support a nominal 51.2V lithium battery and remain compatible with the complete 40.0–58.4Vdc operating range.

Review the Charging Configuration

The charging profile should support the listed 56.0V floating-charge voltage and remain within the 100A continuous charging limit.

Calculate Maximum Battery Current

The inverter’s continuous battery-side demand must remain within the 200A discharge limit of the combined battery configuration.

Verify the CAN or RS485 Protocol

Communication requires a compatible protocol, correct pin definition, suitable cable and matching inverter and battery settings.

How the Two Battery Modules Work as One Storage Bank

The system combines two 51.2V 100Ah modules to create a 51.2V 200Ah battery bank. Both modules must be installed and connected according to the approved battery-bank configuration.

DC cables between the modules and inverter should be planned to maintain suitable current sharing and minimize unnecessary voltage drop. Cable length, conductor cross-section, connection sequence and protective devices should be reviewed by the installer.

Each module uses M6 battery terminals. Suitable cable lugs, secure mechanical connections and correctly rated disconnect equipment are required for the planned current.

Continuous Current and Temporary Load Demand

The combined battery bank supports up to 200A of continuous discharge. This value should be compared with the inverter’s maximum DC demand under its highest expected continuous AC load.

The listed 300A discharge capability applies for one second only. It may provide temporary current headroom for a compatible short-duration load condition, but it must not be treated as the continuous battery rating.

Continuous cables, fuses, breakers and disconnect devices should therefore be selected around the 200A continuous value and the applicable installation conditions, not the one-second pulse figure.

Optional CAN RS485 Communication

CAN or RS485 communication may allow supported battery information to be exchanged with a compatible inverter. Available data can depend on the selected protocol and equipment configuration.

When protocol compatibility has not been confirmed, installers should not assume that state-of-charge reporting, battery alarms or automatic charging control will be available.

CAN and RS485 are optional. Provide the inverter brand, exact model, firmware version and supported battery protocol when communication is required.

Stackable Home Battery Compatibility FAQ

Will CAN or RS485 work with every hybrid inverter?

No. The inverter protocol, firmware, cable pin definition and configuration must be compatible with the battery.

Are CAN and RS485 included as standard?

No. They are optional communication interfaces and should be specified in the order requirements when needed.

Does the battery bank include the hybrid inverter?

No. The inverter, protection equipment and battery cables must be selected separately to complete the residential system.

Can the battery bank continuously provide 300A?

No. The combined continuous discharge limit is 200A. The 300A rating applies for one second only.

What information is required for inverter matching?

Provide the inverter brand, exact model, firmware, voltage range, maximum charging current and supported CAN or RS485 protocol.
