Product Details:
An automobile vacuum pump is a device used to generate vacuum, mainly used in the braking system and fuel supply system of automobiles. It is usually installed next to the engine or motor and is connected to the shaft of the car generator through gears.
The working principle of the automotive vacuum pump is based on the rotation of the gear. When the rotor rotates, the blades fly out and slide against the inner cavity of the housing. The volume of the space divided by the blades changes with the rotation. In this way, the air is sucked in and gradually compressed, and finally discharged through the spit joint to form a vacuum. The suction joint is usually equipped with a one-way valve to maintain the vacuum that has been formed and prevent oil or other substances from flowing back.
Automotive vacuum pumps are especially important for vehicles with gasoline engines because these engines can generate sufficient vacuum pressure. However, for diesel engines or gasoline direct injection engines (GDI), the intake manifold cannot provide the same level of vacuum pressure, so a vacuum pump needs to be installed to provide the necessary vacuum source.
