For maintenance, regularly clean the intercooler fins to remove bugs, dust, or debris (use low-pressure water or compressed air—high pressure may bend fins); inspect hoses and clamps for aging or looseness every 30,000 km. Replace the intercooler immediately if leaks, fin damage, or reduced cooling efficiency are detected, as these issues will lead to engine power loss and potential overheating damage.
