The Thermostat Housing Assembly LR005631 is an OE-grade cooling system component engineered for select for Land Rover vehicles equipped with the 4.4L AJ-V8 petrol engine (also compatible with 4.2L supercharged V8 variants). This complete assembly houses the thermostat element, coolant temperature sensor, and required sealing O-rings in a single ready-to-install unit. The thermostat opens at its calibrated temperature to route coolant to the radiator, while the temperature sensor provides coolant temperature data to the engine management system and dashboard instrumentation. LR005631 is the current replacement part, superseding 4646010, 4536880, and 1316378.
