The XR858473 crankshaft pulley (also known as vibration damper pulley or harmonic balancer) is a direct OEM-equivalent replacement for the for Jaguar XF, XJ, and other models fitted with the 2.0L GTDI petrol engine. This specially designed pulley features an inbuilt vibration damper that absorbs engine combustion vibrations, protecting the crankshaft from excessive stress while driving accessory belts for the alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and A/C compressor.
A failing pulley produces a loud, hard rattling noise from low down on the front of the engine at idle replace it promptly to restore engine refinement and prevent accessory drive failure.
