1. What is the exact size of this spring ring?
The ring has an outer diameter of 10mm and an inner clearance of approximately 6.5mm–7mm. It is classified as a "mini" size, ideal for keychains and lightweight handbag hardware.
2. Is it truly 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel?
Yes. It is made from solid 316 (A4) stainless steel, not plated iron or 304 steel. This provides superior resistance to saltwater, sweat, and rust compared to standard keychain rings.
3. How much weight can it hold?
This 10mm ring is designed for light-duty organization and decoration (keys, charms, zipper pulls). Maximum recommended static load is approx. 1–2 kg (2–4 lbs) . It is not intended for climbing, hammock suspension, or heavy tactical gear.
4. Will this ring scratch my leather handbag?
No. The surface is mirror-polished and deburred to be smooth to the touch. It will not snag silk linings or scratch leather straps when attached to handbag D-rings.
5. Does the spring gate close tightly by itself?
Yes. The internal spring mechanism provides a firm snap-back action. Please note that because of the small 10mm size, the spring tension is moderate—strong enough to stay closed in a pocket or purse, but easy enough to open with fingernails.
