1. What is nickel silver? Is it safe for skin contact?
Nickel silver (also called German silver) contains no actual silver – it’s a copper‑nickel‑zinc alloy. While it contains nickel, our pullers are designed for handbag hardware, not direct prolonged skin contact. If your end product will be used on wearable items (like a bag strap near the neck), we recommend applying a clear epoxy or nickel‑free topcoat. For standard handbag use, it’s perfectly safe.
2. Can you engrave complex logos (e.g., with fine lines or small text)?
Yes. Our CNC and fiber laser engraving machines achieve resolution down to 0.1 mm line width. We accept vector files (AI, CDR, DXF, EPS). A proof image will be sent for approval before mass production.
3. What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ for custom engraved mini zipper pullers is 500 pieces per design. For stock (non‑engraved) samples, no MOQ. For first‑time custom orders, we can accept 200 pieces as a trial batch.
4. How long does production take?
Sample engraving: 3–5 business days after artwork approval.
Mass production (≤5000 pcs): 10–15 business days.
Faster turnaround (5–7 days) is available for an expedite fee.
5. Can the puller be made in other finishes, like gold or black?
Absolutely. Although nickel silver has a naturally warm silver tone, we can apply PVD, electroplating, or spray painting to achieve any color – antique brass, matte black, shiny gold, rose gold, or nickel‑free gunmetal. Note that additional coatings may slightly fill fine engraving details, so we adjust laser depth accordingly.
6. Is this zipper puller suitable for heavy‑duty bags (e.g., backpacks, luggage)?
Our mini size (e.g., 12×8 mm or 18×10 mm) is ideal for handbags, clutches, wallets, and light jackets. For heavy‑duty use (backpacks, luggage), we recommend our larger solid brass or stainless steel models. However, for a decorative mini puller on a secondary zipper (e.g., an interior pocket), it works fine.
7. How do I attach the puller to a zipper slider?
The puller comes with a pre‑punched hole (round or oval). You simply open the zipper slider’s tab lever, slide the puller onto the slider’s crosspin, then close the lever. Alternatively, you can use a small split ring or leather cord through the hole and then attach to the slider. No special tools required.
8. Do you offer free samples?
We provide up to 2 un‑engraved samples free of charge (just pay shipping). For engraved samples with your logo, a small setup fee of 50 applies, refundable on first production order.
9. What packaging is included?
Standard packaging: bulk in poly bags (100 or 200 pcs per bag) with desiccant. For retail, we offer individual poly‑bags, velvet pouches, or blister cards at an extra cost. Custom branding on boxes is also available.
10. How do I clean or maintain these pullers?
Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, or abrasive cleaners. If tarnish appears (very slow due to nickel silver’s properties), use a jewelry polishing cloth. For plated finishes, mild soap and water only.
