Purpose and Performance
The primary purpose of this HPAM polymer is to balance the mobility ratio between injected water and crude oil. By enhancing the viscosity of the water phase, the polymer slows down the flow of injected fluid, reducing channeling and forcing the water front to contact bypassed oil. This leads to a more uniform displacement profile and higher incremental recovery.
