Precautions for ceramic wear-resistant ceramic elbow
In pipeline transportation, the impact angle of the elbow part is large and it is easier to wear than the straight pipe part. Therefore, preventing elbow wear and extending the service life of the elbow have become a headache for many manufacturers, and the emergence of wear-resistant ceramic elbows is very good. Solved this problem. The main component of wear-resistant ceramic elbows is alumina. Under high-temperature calcination, its crystal structure changes and becomes α-alumina with very stable physical and chemical properties. It is not only wear-resistant, and high-temperature resistant, but also resistant to acid and alkali corrosion. At present, most of the ceramic elbows on the market are wear-resistant ceramic elbows, that is, wear-resistant ceramics are pasted inside the steel pipe as a wear-resistant layer. So, what are the precautions when applying ceramic to wear-resistant ceramic elbows?
1. Before applying porcelain, the inner wall of the pipe must be carefully polished or sandblasted to remove rust and roughen the inner wall of the pipe to prevent the ceramic from being stuck firmly.
2. Polish the burrs and ridges of the weld to avoid uneven porcelain tiles that may cause the material to become blocked during later use.
3. When pasting ceramics, you need to reserve flange welding dimensions.
4. When pasting porcelain on the elbow, it should be divided into upper and lower parts, which should be pasted from both ends to the middle. After one end is pasted, it needs to sit for 3-5 hours before pasting the other end.
5. Do not hit the ceramic with hard objects during the ceramic pasting process. Use a rubber hammer to gently tap the ceramic to compact it.
6. After the ceramic pasting is completed, you need to check carefully. If there are large gaps in the ceramics, you need to fill them with ceramic glue. If necessary, add corundum sand to the ceramic glue.
7. The completed ceramic elbow needs to be placed for 24 hours before being hoisted and transported. It is best to put it into use after 48 hours.
