WEEM 1128 SIC SEGMENTED SANDING BELT is designed for heavy-duty surface sanding, featuring premium silicon carbide grain on a Z-weight polyester backing. As a custom segmented (sectional) belt, WEEM 1128 can be made in widths from 1400 mm up to 3000 mm or more, with 2–3 joints. It is an ideal choice for surface finishing of MDF, chipboard, and plywood panels.

 Description:

WEEM 1128 SIC SEGMENTED SANDING BELT is converted from WEEM 1128 SIC Z-CLOTH ABRASIVE, specifically engineered for use in segmented belt applications. It offers a cost-effective solution for the panel sanding industry. The product features a YY-weight waterproof polyester backing, selected for its superior rigidity and tensile strength — making it ideal for maintaining dimensional stability across wide belts. An anti-static treatment is applied to reduce or prevent loading issues during sanding.


The abrasive grain is premium-grade silicon carbide, known for its hardness, sharpness, and brittle crystalline structure. It produces fine, straight-edged scratch patterns and is especially effective under light pressure, making it well-suited for precision panel sanding. A closed-coat construction ensures maximum grain coverage, delivering more cutting points per square inch. This results in faster stock removal, longer belt life, and a finer finish.


WEEM 1128 segmented belts are available in custom sizes to meet specific machine requirements. Common belt dimensions include:

  • 1950 mm × 2800 mm
  • 2650 mm × 3200 mm
  • 2950 mm × 3200 mm

Each belt is joined with a high-strength bi-directional tape splice, ensuring reliable joint durability under continuous operation.
