Tensile Strength: ≥850 MPa (minimum) – Delivers robust load-bearing capacity for high-pressure wells (35–50 MPa) and critical structural components (e.g., casing in deep sections), surpassing conventional carbon steels.
Yield Strength: ≥750 MPa (minimum) – Ensures minimal deformation under sustained stress, maintaining wellbore stability during prolonged drilling or hydraulic fracturing.
Lighter Weight than Higher-Alloy Steels (e.g., 4140) – Reduces hoisting loads and operational complexity in deep/extended-reach wells without compromising strength.
Chromium (Cr): 0.80–1.10% – Forms a passive oxide layer, improving resistance to mildly corrosive fluids (e.g., brine, CO₂-containing environments) compared to non-alloy carbon steels (e.g., 1541).
