Material Options
Low-carbon steel wire: Protected by hot galvanizing or cold galvanizing. The thickness of galvanized protective layer is made according to customer requirements, with normal galvanizing amount of 20-300g/m².
Galfan coated wire: Zinc 5% aluminum or zinc 10% aluminum, with corrosion resistance more than three times that of traditional pure zinc plating, and tensile strength of the steel wire not less than 380Mpa.
PVC/PE galvanized steel wire: Wrapped with a layer of PVC or PE protective layer on the surface of high-quality low-carbon steel wire to increase protection in high pollution environments, with different colors available to blend with the surrounding environment.

Our Gabion box is made from strengthened hot dipped galvanized or zinc-aluminium coated steel which delivers exceptional corrosion resistance.
Welding Procedure
Galvanized After Welding: Welding first and then galvanizing, the surface of the welded mesh panel is more flat and beautiful.
Galvanized Before Welding: Galvanizing first before welding, with obvious solder joints.
Firm Welding Spots: Tightly welded steel wires form a stable grid panel that is not easily broken.

The wire used to manufacture double twisted gabion wire mesh is soft annealed, mild steel wire provided with heavy zinc coating as per EN 10244/ASTM A 641 to prevent corrosion. In case of use in aggressive environments, it is further extruded with 0.5mm thick PVC Coating.
