The ASHAN KYN61-40.5 Series is a premier air-insulated, metal-clad switchgear designed for the control and protection of three-phase AC 50/60Hz power systems. Rated for voltages up to 40.5kV (widely used in 33kV and 36kV networks), this switchgear is the central hub for utility substations, large-scale industrial plants, and renewable energy projects.
The core of the KYN61 is its center-mounted withdrawable vacuum circuit breaker (VCB), which allows for rapid maintenance and equipment isolation without compromising the integrity of the main busbar. Engineered for heavy-duty service, it provides an uncompromising combination of high insulation reliability and operator safety in a modular, rigid footprint.
Center-Mounted Withdrawable VCB: The circuit breaker is mounted on a precision handcart, featuring distinct "Operating," "Test," and "Disconnected" positions to ensure total safety during maintenance.
40.5kV High-Insulation Platform: Built on a 40.5kV frame to provide an extra safety margin for 33kV/36kV systems, ensuring stability during lightning impulses and power frequency surges.
"Five-Prevention" Safety Interlocks: A comprehensive mechanical and electrical interlocking system prevents common operator errors, such as moving the breaker while it is closed or entering a live compartment.
Compartmentalized Arc-Proof Design: The unit is divided into four grounded compartments (Busbar, VCB, Cable, and Low Voltage). This design localizes internal faults and protects personnel from arc-flash incidents.
Rugged Al-Zn Construction: Fabricated from CNC-machined Aluminum-Zinc coated steel sheets, providing exceptional mechanical strength and a 20+ year service life in humid or coastal environments.
