Product Overview
The GREEF NEW ENERGY GDG series features a disc type permanent magnet generator that operates without an iron core. In this innovative design, the spindle and rotor are arranged in a disc-shaped stack, with the stator fixed at the center while the rotor rotates on both sides. The spindle contains only windings without an iron core, and both stator and rotor are constructed as flat disc structures utilizing axial air gap magnetic flux.
The alternating arrangement of stator and rotor along the axial direction, combined with the generator's short axial length and large diameter, easily supports multi-pole configurations. This structure delivers a high power-to-mass ratio, low speed rating, and enables starts even at low wind speeds. Additional benefits include compact size, low energy consumption, lightweight construction, and high efficiency.
Due to low aerodynamic resistance from vertical axis rotor mounting, the GDG series is ideal for direct-drive vertical axis wind turbines. Available in two variants: outer rotor type (stationary shaft with rotating casing, cable exit through shaft center) and inner rotor type (stationary casing with rotating shaft, cable exit from outside casing).
