Centrifugal Spray Dryer

Centrifugal spray dryer is a kind of continuous ambient pressure dryer. The liquid material is sprayed into the mist with special equipment so that it is dried in contact with hot air. The dryer is used to dry some heat-sensitive liquids, suspensions, and viscous liquids such as milk and eggs. It is also used for drying fuels, intermediates, soap powders, and inorganic salts.

High Speed Centrifugal Spray Drying

High speed centrifugal spray drying is the most widely used process in the liquid process forming and drying industry. It is best suited for generating powdered and granular solid products from solutions, emulsions, suspensions and pasty liquid raw materials. Spray drying is therefore an ideal process when the particle size distribution, residual moisture content, bulk density and particle shape of the finished product must meet precise criteria.

Features

1. Fast drying speed. After the material is atomized, the surface area is greatly increased. Therefore, in the hot air stream, excess water can be evaporated instantly. It takes only a few seconds to complete the drying, which is especially suitable for the drying of heat-sensitive materials.

2. The product has good homogeneity, fluidity, solubility, high purity and good quality.

3. The production process is simplified and the operation control is convenient. For the wet content of 40-60% of the liquid, can be dried into powder products once. After drying without crushing and screening, so it can reducing the production process and improve product purity. For the product particle size, bulk density and moisture in a certain range can be adjusted by changing the operating conditions, so the control
and management of this dryer are very convenient.

Centrifugal Spray Dryer Equipment Operating Principle

The air is filtered and heated and enters into the air distributor at the top of the dryer, and the hot air enters into the drying chamber in a spiral shape uniformly. The material liquid is sprayed into very fine mist liquid globules by the high-speed centrifugal atomizer at the top of the tower, which is in contact with the hot air in parallel flow, and can be dried into finished products in a very short time. The finished products are continuously output from the bottom of the drying tower and the cyclone separator, and the exhaust gas is exhausted by the fan.
