Applications

1. Sensor Signal Conditioning

This is its most common use. It amplifies weak signals from various sensors to a level that can be read by a microcontrollerand#39;s ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter).

Examples: Amplifying signals from thermocouples, pressure sensors, load cells, photodiodes, and temperature sensors (like NTC thermistors).

The LM258 consists of two independent high gain operational amplifiers. It can work with a single power supply or with a dual power supply, and the current consumption of the power supply has nothing to do with the power supply voltage.
