I.Overview

The Wireline  Knuckle Jar is used in combination with the downhole tool and other equipment to enable the operator to transmit effective jar force up and down. The effect of the jar is largely determined by the weight of the connecting rod on the jar and the stroke of the jar. The size and verticality of the tubing, the size and depth of the tool, the density and viscosity of the fluid, the pressure in the well, and the size of the wire also have a positive or negative impact on the jar effect.
