Well Workover Rig Disc Brake‑350 for 350 Workover Rig Hoisting System
The XJ350 disc brake actuator consists of the brake disc, working caliper (normally open caliper), safety caliper (normally closed caliper), and caliper frame, divided into service brake and safety parking brake.
1. Brake Disc
Installation position: On both sides of the XJ350 drum axle, single-side wear limit 5mm.
Structure: Air-cooled, friction braking reference surface.
2. Working Caliper (normally open caliper: one per side on XJ350)
Structure: Caliper body, single-acting cylinder, brake pad, return spring.
Cylinder: Drill operator brake handle → proportional hydraulic supply, as oil pressure increases → cylinder piston extends, pushing the brake pad to clamp the brake disc; as oil pressure drops → return spring pulls back the brake pad to release the brake.
Function: Smooth speed control for normal raising/lowering and feeding of the drill, clamping force continuously changes with handle oil pressure, working oil pressure 0–6.5MPa.
For XJ250 and XJ350 workover rigs, the disc brake device is normally equipped with 2 sets of working calipers and 1 or 2 sets of safety calipers. Their maximum hook loads are 675 kN and 900 kN respectively, with working pressure of 8 MPa. The brake features manual adjustable or automatic adjustment.
