The workover rig is a truck-mounted mobile special-purpose service rig. Compared with drilling rigs, it features greater mobility, faster rig relocation, quicker installation, suitability for scattered well sites, more complex operating procedures, frequent start-stop, and variable operating conditions.
1. It is mainly aimed at repair operations on old wells, production wells, and problem wells, without requiring a long-term fixed well location;
2. It involves many operating procedures and frequent process switching: running/pulling tubing, well flushing, sand washing, well killing, fishing, milling, plugging, and unplugging operations alternate in sequence;
3. The equipment withstands severe impact loads, many alternating loads, low-speed heavy-load operation, and frequent braking;
4. The delivered media are complex: sewage, sand-bearing formation water, crude oil, heavy oil, chemical agents, kill fluid, and lost-circulation plugging fluid — with strong corrosiveness and sand-induced abrasiveness;
5. It operates in the open field around the clock in all weather conditions, requiring extremely high resistance to corrosion, dust, water, and both low and high temperatures.
