Pneumatic Air Clutch Brake Ventilated Air Tyre Clutch Lt300/100 for Oil Drilling Rig Drawworks
An air‑tube clutch is a friction‑type clutch taking compressed air as its control power source. It is generally applied for equipment requiring high‑torque transmission and fast power engagement, such as drilling machinery, marine vessels, large mechanical presses, excavators, ball mills and rubber‑processing machinery.
Featuring high transmitted torque, smooth engagement and simple installation, it allows minor angular and radial deflection compensation between driving and driven shafts. The driven component boasts low inertia, long service life, compact structure and reliable sealing performance. The air tube requires high‑grade materials with strong deformation resistance, which leads to relatively high material cost. There are operating‑temperature limitations: operating above 60 °C will shorten service life, while temperatures below −20 °C will cause embrittlement. Friction discs and friction blocks serve as the mating friction elements of the pneumatic clutch.
According to structural configuration, air‑tube clutches are classified into standard type and ventilated type.
