Titanium Pipe Fittings
1. According to the connection form
Welding fittings (butt welding, socket welding): suitable for systems with high pressure and high sealing requirements (such as chemical pipelines);
Threaded fittings: used for small equipment or low-pressure scenarios (such as laboratory instruments);
Flange connection fittings: Used in combination with titanium flanges for easy disassembly and maintenance (such as ocean engineering pipelines).
2. By Function Type
Straight through fittings: conventional connectors such as elbows, tees, reducers, etc;
Special fittings: expansion joints, corrugated pipes (suitable for thermal expansion and contraction or vibration environments).
3. Classified by Material
Pure titanium fittings (TA1/TA2): excellent corrosion resistance, suitable for chemical and medical equipment;
Titanium alloy fittings (TC4, Ti-3Al-2.5V): high strength, high temperature resistance, used in the aerospace and nuclear energy fields.
TA1/TA2: Excellent corrosion resistance, good plasticity, and high biocompatibility;
TC4: High strength, fatigue resistance, and optimal comprehensive performance;
Ti-3Al-2.5V: High temperature creep resistance, stress corrosion resistance;
Gr5/Gr7: International standard grades, corresponding to TC4 and corrosion-resistant titanium alloys.
1. Forming process
Extrusion molding: preparing seamless titanium tube blanks through hot extrusion, with uniform grain size;
Welding Forming: Automatic argon arc welding of rolled titanium plate, used for large-diameter pipe fittings.
2. Processing procedure
Cold/hot processing: rolling, drawing to control dimensional accuracy;
Heat treatment: Annealing eliminates internal stress, solid solution strengthening enhances performance;
Surface treatment: Acid washing to remove oxide layer, electrolytic polishing to enhance corrosion resistance.
3. Quality control
Non destructive testing (X-ray inspection, ultrasonic testing) ensures the quality of welds;
Pressure testing (1.5 times working pressure holding) to verify sealing reliability.
