CCS is also used in the grounding industry, where it is used to make ground rods. The steel core provides the strength and durability needed for the rod to be driven into the ground, while the copper cladding provides the electrical conductivity needed for effective grounding.
Other applications of CCS include making welding wire, automotive brake lines, and heat exchangers. The properties of CCS can be tailored to meet specific requirements by varying the thickness of the copper cladding and the properties of the steel core.
CCS wire is formed through electroplating method(taking steel wire as the core and depositing the copper layer evenly on the surface of the steel core) and cladding method (Cladding planished copper stripe concentrically on the outer surface of the steel core).
CCS wire can be divided into six types by conductivity, 15%CCS,18%CCS,21%CCS, 25%CCS, 30%CCS,40%CCS,and two mechanical status: Annealed (A) and Hard drawn(H).
