Built by ChengDu Xinweihan, a specialized Chinese welding equipment manufacturer with a 20,000 sq.m facility and an R&D team of over 20 engineers, this copper spot welder is field-proven in automotive manufacturing, hardware fabrication, and household appliance production. The stationary design keeps the workpiece mobile for flexible positioning, while the integrated air and water pressure monitoring ensures safe, stable operation across extended duty cycles. The fully water-cooled resistance welding transformer and rectifier provide strong, stable output power with rapid capacitive charge/discharge cycles. This delivers fast welding speed and short welding time, raising production throughput per shift while keeping energy consumption lower than traditional AC welders.
The machine adopts a unique tree-style body with multiple internal reinforcing ribs, engineered for impact resistance, shock absorption, and high rigidity. The upper electrode moves vertically in a linear guide with high repeat positioning accuracy, minimizing weld deformation and ensuring every spot is placed exactly where specified.
A combination aluminum alloy cylinder with a pilot high-flow electromagnetic directional valve achieves fast response and sensitive follow-up, while an optional electrical proportional valve enables precise adjustment of welding pressure. This lowers pressure impact on workpieces, reduces noise, and maintains consistent weld strength across high-volume runs.
The secondary circuit uses a pressurized cylinder seat and upper arm insulation for safe operation on the lower seat without short-circuit risk. Built-in air and water pressure switches with alarms prevent water shortage or gas welding issues, protecting equipment integrity and reducing unplanned downtime.
Foot-switch control matches operator habits, reduces labor intensity, and accelerates the welding cycle. This allows a single operator to manage continuous production tasks with high efficiency and lower fatigue over long shifts.

The resistance spot welding process generates heat at the interface of two metal workpieces by passing a high electric current through a localized area while applying mechanical pressure. In this MFDC machine, three-phase AC power (380V) is converted to direct current through a fully water-cooled rectifier, delivering a stable welding current to copper alloy electrodes. The upper electrode descends via a pneumatic cylinder, clamping the workpiece between the electrodes. Current flows through the electrodes and the workpiece, creating resistance heat that melts a localized nugget. After a controlled weld time, the current stops while pressure is briefly maintained to allow the nugget to solidify into a strong metallurgical bond.
