While standard G.652.D fiber suffers from significant signal loss when coiled or turned sharply, the G.657.A2 fiber is optimized for space-constrained environments. It serves as the essential core component for applications ranging from discreet indoor FTTH (Fiber to the Home) drop cables to advanced, high-tensile UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) tether systems, where fibers must endure rapid spooling and extreme bending under tension.
