The OPGW 24 Core G652D Fiber Optic Cable with a 100mm² cross-sectional area is a high-performance, dual-function overhead ground wire designed for modern electrical grids and substation communication networks. This robust cable features a stranded layer structure with a single central stainless steel loose tube, which safely houses 24 single-mode G.652.D fiber cores within a hydro-proof, jelly-filled protective chamber.
By surrounding the core laser-welded steel tube with a high-tensile armor of aluminum-clad steel (ACS) wires and aluminum alloy wires, this 100mm² configuration provides exceptional mechanical armor and electrical conductivity. It serves simultaneously as a conventional lightning protection grounding wire and a high-speed, low-attenuation telecom backbone for long-span high-voltage transmission lines.
