This professional-grade GYTS53 48 Core Double Sheath Steel Tape Armored Fiber Optic Cable is heavy-duty trunkline cable engineered specifically for the harshest outdoor underground environments. It features a stranded loose tube structure where high-quality fibers are housed in high-modulus PBT tubes stranded around a metallic central strength member.
To withstand extreme mechanical stress, water immersion, and biological threats, the cable is built with a double-jacket, double-armoring design: an inner corrugated steel tape armor with a PE inner sheath, followed by a second heavy-duty corrugated steel tape layer and a rugged high-density polyethylene (HDPE) outer jacket. It is the ultimate solution for direct burial and deep underground conduit systems.
Direct Burial Installation: Engineered to be buried directly in the soil without conduits, safely enduring earth-crushing loads and rocky soil conditions.
Underground Duct and Conduit Routing: Ideal for high-risk underground pipe networks, river crossings, and areas with high water tables or heavy surface traffic.
Long-Haul Backbone Networks: Frequently deployed as the primary trunk line for metropolitan area networks (MANs), inter-office connections, and national telecommunication backbones.
Extreme Subsurface Environments: Specifically designed for areas plagued by severe rodent problems (rats, gophers), termites, or potential mechanical impact from future excavation.

Stranded Loose Tube Gel-Filled Core: High-grade 48-core fibers are distributed into color-coded PBT loose tubes filled with thixotropic gel. The tubes are stranded around a solid steel wire central strength member to ensure optimal tensile performance and mechanical stability.
Exceptional Direct Burial Load Support: Delivers massive crush resistance of up to 3000 N/100 mm, ensuring the internal optical fibers remain entirely stress-free even under intense physical soil pressure.
Dual-Layer Comprehensive Water-Blocking: Tube filling compound, a water-blocking cable core matrix, and dual steel-tape lamination work in unison to provide 100% longitudinal and lateral moisture proofing, preventing water migration underground.
Rodent and Termite Proof HDPE Jacket: The outer jacket is constructed from premium high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which provides excellent UV stabilization, superior chemical resistance, and a tough exterior that pests cannot penetrate.
