4.The GYXTW outdoor cable is an outdoor fiber optic cable. It has a central loose structure with a high modulus plastic loose tube. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant compound and wrapped with corrugated steel tape. Water-blocking material is applied between the steel tape and loose tube to ensure a compact and watertight cable. Parallel steel wires are placed on both sides of the tape. The cable is protected by a polyethylene (PE) sheath.
This specification covers the general requirements for outdoor optical cables with loose center sleeves for overhead or piping.
