ASTM F1554 Anchor Bolt & Anchor Rod
ASTM F1554 is a standard specification for anchor bolts that are designed to be used in structural applications. These bolts are typically used to secure steel structures to concrete or masonry foundations.
The F1554 specification covers three grades of anchor bolts: Grade 36, Grade 55, and Grade 105.
Yokelink Grade 36 anchor bolts are made from low carbon steel and are commonly used in light-duty applications such as residential construction.Grade 55 anchor bolts are made from medium carbon steel and are used in more demanding applications such as commercial or industrial construction. Grade 105 anchor bolts are made from heat-treated medium carbon alloy steel and are used in the most demanding applications such as high-rise buildings or bridges.
ASTM F1544 Grade 55 is a standard material specification for straight, bent, headed, headless anchor bolts and al-thread anchor rods, made of low yield carbon steel. ASTM F1554 Grade 55 anchors bolts are designated with minimum yield strength value of 55 ksi or 380 MPa. TheseGrade 55 anchors bolts or anchor rods are intended for anchoring structural supports to concrete foundations. such structural supportsinclude building columns, column supports for highway signs, street lighting and traffic signals, steel bearing plates, and simlar aplications.Supplementary reguirements are incuded to provide for grade 55 weldalle steel, permanent manufacturers and arade identication markingand impact properties for grade 55.
